  • Although I wasn't there, it sounds like both the police officer and Gates acted inappropriately. While everyone, including our president, is entitled to express an opinion on the matter, the issue here is that what Obama said was inflammatory.

  • I think the woman who called the police is being judged unfairly. If I saw 2 men of any color trying to break down a door, I would call the police. Not to mention that she probably wasn't able to see anything other than their backs so it is unlikely that she would be able to recognize Mr. Gates.

  • To the idiot who made the comment about burning witches at Salem... read a book, they were hung. Not one single "witch" was burned. As to the boy, it's a stupid set of rules but I doubt that he and his parents didn't know what they were getting into when he was enrolled.
